I made this pr of chaps in the early
1960s Mr. Bob Land I have a pr of your chaps that were given to me a long time ago from a old cowboy. Seemed old to me, but probably not that old when I think back, as I'm 57 now. He gave me riding lessons in Cloverdale. I am having to replace the zippers after all these years of ware and service. That is when I noticed your "stamp" and looked you up on the web. Wow, what a surprise to find your name, and in Vernon. I have added to my riding pleasure a Harley "Heritage Classic" I now reside in (Laguna Beach) California. But before then, I lived in VERNON (in the BX) ea? My husband and I are riding back up to Vernon, Lumby, Kamloops, Little Fort, Vancouver and the Island this August. But I have a question. What do you suggest for cleaning and brightening up the white on the leather? It would be so nice to meet you (the maker of my chaps), and pick up something from you on our travels. Every body comments on "Your" chaps. When we ride the Harley "Cochise" all the pick-up trucks we pass or that pass us kinda hang beside us checking out your chaps. The cowboys and cowgirls know "riding" chaps when they see them and always point to them, then give me the thumbs up or the "OK" sign before pulling away. My husband and I always smile and pat your chaps.... All the best wishes, A Satisfied R. (Bob) Land Chaps wearer! Helen |

Rawhide Laced Shotgun Chaps # 19 I used the finest 5 oz Cream chap leather in the making of these chaps. The belt and trim is cut from 2 oz russet bridle leather, and stamped with a basket weave pattern. A black recessed border frames the stamping in which the Rawhide lacing has been inset The legs are fastened with five brass buckles down the side so you can adjust the fit to your exact preference.
