I made this pr of chaps in the early 1960s
Mr. Bob Land

I have a pr of your chaps that were given to me a long
time ago from a old cowboy. Seemed old to me, but probably
not that old when I think back, as I'm 57 now. He gave me
riding lessons in Cloverdale. I am having to replace the zippers
after all these years of ware and service. That is when I noticed
your "stamp" and looked you up on the web. Wow, what a
surprise to find your name, and in Vernon. I have added to my
riding pleasure a Harley "Heritage Classic" I now reside in
(Laguna Beach) California. But before then, I lived in VERNON
(in the BX) ea? My husband and I are riding back up to Vernon,
Lumby, Kamloops, Little Fort, Vancouver and the Island this
August. But I have a question. What do you suggest for cleaning
and brightening up the white on the leather? It would be so nice
to meet you (the maker of my chaps), and pick up something from
you on our travels. Every body comments on "Your" chaps. When
we ride the Harley "Cochise" all the pick-up trucks we pass or that
pass us kinda hang beside us checking out your chaps. The cowboys
and cowgirls know "riding" chaps when they see them and always
point to them, then give me the thumbs up or the "OK" sign before
pulling away. My husband and I always smile and pat your chaps....
All the best wishes,
A Satisfied R. (Bob) Land Chaps wearer!

Hello Bob--just a quick note to thank you for the
timely arrival of my new chaps. They arrived on
the Greyhound, safe and sound, and mighty quick
I would have written sooner, but all my spare time
now is wrapped up in pounding the trail on my horse,
with my new chaps!! Gotta tell you, that I am deeply
happy with your work, and I fully expect them to last
me a lifetime of good riding up in the hills, and keep
me from all manner of harm. Thank you very much
for all your hard work, and the skill and dedication
that you bring to your craft. I am starting a savings
fund for the saddle of my dreams, and I think you
might have a project on your hands by the time
winter rolls around, in time for next spring On your
web site, you call it the "All Around" saddle. My
horse is only 4 years old this month, so he has some
growing to do before the summer is out, and he is
getting all the food and exercise I can give him.
Thanks for a splendid pair of chaps, and I think
you have found a new customer. A friend was by
yesterday, and by Golly, did he fall in love with
your work.

Sincerely Richard.

Rawhide Laced Shotgun

making of these chaps. The belt and trim is cut

brass buckles down the side so you can adjust
the fit to your exact preference. The Rawhide
lacing takes the place of stitching, and is more
durable then regular stitching.
