Laced Style Batwings
I usually make these chaps in 4 oz
oil tan for
pleasure
use, and 6 oz oil tan if they are to be
used in heavy brush.
The leg is full cut for added
protection and is fastened
with 3 snaps on
each
leg. The inside of the leg is cut on a
curve for
ease of movement. The belt is cut
from russet
bridle leather, and can be either
plain or carved
as per your preference. The
lacing takes the
place of stitching, making
these chaps very
authentic and durable.

Hello Bob--just a quick note to thank you for the
timely
arrival
of my new chaps. They arrived on
the Greyhound, safe and
sound, and mighty quick
I would have written sooner, but all my
spare time
now is wrapped up in pounding the trail on my horse,
with my new chaps!! Gotta tell you, that I am deeply
happy with
your work, and I fully expect them to last
me a lifetime of good
riding up in the hills, and keep
me from all manner of harm.
Thank you very much
for all your hard work, and the skill and
dedication
that you bring to your craft. I am starting a savings
fund for the saddle of my dreams, and I think you
might have a
project on your hands by the time
winter rolls around, in time for
next spring On your
web site, you call it the "All Around"
saddle. My
horse is only 4 years old this month, so he has some
growing to do before the summer is out, and he is
getting all the
food and exercise I can give him.
Thanks for a splendid pair of
chaps, and I think
you have found a new customer. A friend was
by
yesterday, and by Golly, did he fall in love with
your work.
Sincerely Richard. |
