~   " Classic Style Saddle Bags"   ~

Using my customers measurements for width and depth. I make these bags with full welted seams and hand stitch the straps for added strength. I use Appliqué braiding  to join the bags
at the top. The bags buckle to a strap that’s fastened to the saddle at the bottom of the cantle, for easy removal and are fastened to the flank strap to keep them from flopping. The saddle strings come through a opening, leaving the strings free for other uses.

This is an example of plain style bag's
11 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches deep
with a 3 1/2 inch soft gusset. Made in Premium 8/9 oz bridle leather

Bag's made with a full basket weave pattern. These bag's are made with a with a staple pocket on one side, and
a pocket for fencing pliers built on the other side.

I made these bag's 11 inches wide by 11 and 1/2 inches deep with a 3 and
1/2 inch  soft gusset. The bags feature a small pouch on the left side & a knife & flashlight pouch on the right side along with  thermos straps on both sides. The hardware is brass

I make this western style briefcase
to resemble  a set of saddle bags.
It is made to carry over your
shoulder, allowing your hands
to be free.

I made this western style briefcase
with a Mag light pocket & a knife
pocket on one side, a pouch pocket
on the other side. I added a handle
on the top of the shoulder piece. I 
made it to carry over your shoulder,
allowing your hands to be free.

I usually make these bags 7 inches wide
by 9 inches deep. The bags fasten to the
side dee's on your saddle and to the
back billet strap.
