In early 1900 hundreds Mr.
Rouck's
grandfather brought a saddle that
he rode for many years and later passed
on to his son who later passed it on to his
son who in 1988 brought it to me to be
rebuilt, he then displayed it in his home
in his grandfathers honor . In 1997 the
saddle was stolen from his home and he
asked me to build a duplicate of that
saddle from memory, this is the saddle
that I made to replace the saddle that
was lost

This saddle was made for a Ranch hand
that rides
for the Gang Ranch in central B.C.
The Gang's summer range extends over a huge
area of some of the most scenic country in B.C.
The hands go out in the late spring and stay out
in cow camps till the fall roundup. A lot of the
camps
can only be supplied by pack horses as
they are so remote, so the riders need the best
of
equipment.
The Gang Ranch is one of the
biggest ranches in North America.

Bob,
I had promised
pictures of the saddle. Last Christmas was very surprising for my fiancé who
is now my wife. She was very astonished to see what you had done. We took
some pictures a couple weeks after our wedding with our horses and in our
wedding gear. You cannot see the saddle well with the large train from the
wedding dress but it is nice. Thank you again for the work you did the
saddle is priceless. I want to wish you all the best for this holiday season
and into the New Year
